The American Guild of Appraisers has built significant strength because of its affiliations with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) having 13M members representing approximately 25M family members, and the Office and Professional Employees Union (OPEIU) having approximately 125K members.This strength gives the appraiser profession the resource to effectively track and improve national and state regulations and legislations.

The AGA is a non-traditional union.This means we do not engage in collective bargaining, do not strike, and do not enforce a closed shop.The AGA does not negotiate contracts, does not have shop stewards, or does it have any oversight regarding its member’s work products.
